Rising London singer-songwriter and producer House of EL recently dropped his self-directed visuals for “Tonight.” shot and edited by No ID. “Tonight” is the first track released off House of El’s latest project, “When It Rains, It Pours.”
It follows House of EL’s Mixed Tape “BOOK OF EL,” an 11-track fusion of jazz, soul, hip-hop and pop featuring Laura Mvula, Jay Prince, Reuben James, Tom Ford, and Karma Kid.
“‘Tonight‘ touches on the current age we live in and have lived through; at a high level, I think there is so much noise going on that it’s hard to hear yourself think with all that’s going on in the world and at a granular level I think it’s touching on the fact that we all essentially want to feel appreciated and seen… or I guess loved. The video further tells the story. I just want to tell stories and make you think, but this one – I want you to dance too.”
“Ultimately, you have not to take life too seriously – our generation gets a lot of crap fed to us – you can’t take it on your shoulders.”
